When A Photo Is More Than Just A Photo

You don’t take a photograph, you make it.
– Ansel Adams

A good photographer takes a good photo. A great photographer is able to tell stories. A great photographer will inspire you and capture you not just in a pose, but so naturally that you forget that the camera is there. The camera follows you, without any script, whether it be a still photograph or a video.

Bringing out the inner you.

Most people don’t think that they are photogenic and are uncomfortable in front of a camera. They feel conspicuous, uncomfortable and uneasy. They do not like being the center of attention. As a photographer, Kristen Jensen is able to take that inner you that you didn’t know you possessed, and bring it out in a way that you never thought possible.

No longer self-conscious, the final product is something that you get to take out when feeling blue and be reminded of the you that is there. It may not be an hour with your therapist, but it’s something that you do not need to make an appointment for. That photograph, that moving picture, is yours to take out whenever you want.

How Kristen Jensen is able to accomplish this lens by lens.

How does she do this? On this week’s podcast, my guest is Kristen Jensen, owner of Kristen Jensen Productions. Kristen is a life style photographer, videographer, model, actress and image consultant ‘through the lens’. Through tough times, through great times, listen as Kristen tells me how she has reinvented herself whenever necessary to become this amazing, empowering woman. Kristen uses that empowerment and empowers others to see their own beauty, lens by lens.
