Getting divorced typically involves lawyers, countless conversations, and loads of cash that you’d rather not be spending.

A new web app called ‘It’s Over Easy’ is attempting to make that a little easier by putting the whole experience online.

Admittedly, this solution is only going to work for the most amicable of divorces, but still, if you’re planning to get divorced and are still on decent terms with your spouse, then it can also be an inexpensive and easy way to make it happen.

The app was created by a celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser. She’s handled divorces for people like Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder. When friends who weren’t celebrities asked her for help with their or their friend’s divorce, she realized she didn’t have anywhere to send them and the app was born.

Essentially, ‘It’s Over Easy’ is an easy way to fill out and file the paperwork for your divorce. The app asks you a number of questions, and as your answer your responses are filled in on offices paperwork you can file at the courthouse (or have the app file for you).

The app can handle the paperwork for child custody and support and dividing property, as long as you and your spouse have already come to some sort of agreement on that front.

Again, this isn’t something for people to use who need to battle out the fine point of their split, but more for web-savvy people who have already worked through all that and just need help making it legally official.

Videos of Wasser explaining forms are included in complicated parts, and each package includes some real person-to-person time with an attorney that can help you nail down the fine points or answer any questions.

The Basic plan runs $750, while the top-of-the-line Premium plan costs $2500 + processing and state fees.

Yes, getting divorced on the web isn’t the most romantic choice, but if you’d rather handle everything in the privacy of your own home, it could be a decent solution to check out.
