Narcissism…Narcissist?

But Maybe It’s Just Me

“You can teach a narcissist to show up on time, … but you can’t train them to listen once they get there.”
– Dr. Ramani Durvasula

“He loved to be so concentrated on.”
– Elizabeth Harrower, The Watch Tower

“I consider myself a fairly bright woman. So how was I fooled? Or was I fooled? Did I just tell myself stories? Did I have blinders on? Can’t I fix this? Maybe it’s me. Probably it’s me. No, I’m pretty sure it’s me. But am I sure? I used to be so sure. When did I stop being so sure? It  supposed to be easy. I can fix this.”

Sound familiar?

If you are dealing with a narcissist, there’s a pretty good chance that this is the conversation that you have with yourself on a regular basis. I know it’s one that I had years ago.

Sometimes reality is staring us right in the face and we don’t want to recognize or accept it. Sometimes things are out of our control and we need to walk away. How do we know? When will we know and what can we do?

The answers are something that my guest this week will give us insight into. She’s called the ‘Queen Beeing’ of Narcissism, Angie Atkinson. From personal knowledge and experience her story shows that no matter how long it takes, you can start a new journey and live a happy and fulfilled life. Sometimes it just takes us longer to get there.
