Jennifer encountered a woman who worked on a post-WW2 mission to recover Jewish orphans hidden in Christian settings for safety. Jennifer is the author of The Yellow Bird Sings, the memoir If a Tree Falls: A Family’s Quest to Hear and Be Heard, and the children’s book, The Mitten String. In addition to writing, Jennifer taught philosophy. She earned her B.A. from Columbia University and her Ph. D. from Stanford University.
